In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on various metal materials, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, metal structures, and custom fabrications. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude with a passion for craftsmanship. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and fabrication requirements Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure accurate dimensions and fit-up of metal components Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and cutting using power tools, plasma cutters, and hand tools Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal structures or parts based on blueprints and technical specifications Operate cranes, machining equipment, and other fabrication shop machinery safely and efficiently Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling metal materials, welding equipment, and power tools to prevent accidents or injuries Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with metal materials Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately Skilled in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work Experience operating cranes, plasma cutters, machining tools, and power tools safely Strong mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication processes and assembly procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment while following safety protocols diligently Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks Join our team as a soldador if you're passionate about craftsmanship, committed to safety excellence, and eager to contribute your skills to exciting projects.
