Full-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced Ironworkers / Structural Steel Assembly Specialists to join our team supporting the rebuilding and expansion of our laydown area. We specialize in the fabrication and assembly of very large steel structures, and we are looking for skilled tradespeople who are comfortable working with heavy structural steel and large-scale assemblies. This is a hands-on position for an individual with experience in ironworking, rigging, and structural steel erection. The ideal candidate understands how to safely move, position, assemble, and erect large steel components and can work effectively as part of a team in a heavy industrial environment. What You'll Do Assemble and erect large structural steel components and assemblies Perform hands-on ironworking activities in a heavy industrial environment Rig and safely move large steel components for positioning and assembly Assist with structural steel erection and installation Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and assembly instructions Use hand tools, power tools, and appropriate rigging equipment Work with cranes and lifting equipment to position heavy steel components Ensure steel members are properly aligned, positioned, secured, and assembled Assist with layout, fit-up, bolting, and other structural assembly activities Inspect materials and assemblies for proper fit and positioning Communicate effectively with other ironworkers, riggers, operators, and supervisors Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area Perform other structural assembly and ironworking duties as needed Qualifications Previous experience as an Ironworker, Structural Steel Erector, Rigger, Steel Assembly Specialist, or similar role Demonstrated experience with rigging and structural steel erection Experience working with large/heavy steel structures Ability to safely handle and position heavy steel components Ability to work from drawings, measurements, and basic structural plans Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment Ability to work safely around cranes, lifting equipment, and heavy machinery Strong understanding of workplace safety and proper rigging practices Ability to work effectively as part of a crew Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Preferred Experience Heavy structural steel fabrication or erection Industrial construction Crane rigging Laydown yard operations Structural steel assembly Heavy equipment or large-scale industrial projects Experience working with very large steel structures Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding industrial position.
