CTR Group is seeking Shipfitters for our client, a Shipyard in Charleston, SC.

Pay Rate:

$38 per Hour Plus $130 Per Diem for Non-Local Candidates.

SUMMARY:

The Shipfitter will perform the following tasks: The Shipfitter performs layout, fits, aligns, assembles prefabricated cast, forged components prior to welding, soldering, brazing, or bonding operations. Performs fitting, machining operations such as straighten, grind, burr, drill, ream, countersink materials to close tolerances. Refers to general instructions to select equipment, set up, lay out materials to be welded. The Shipfitter will repair, rework parts to restore required tolerances that has become distorted. May monitor, verify quality in accordance with statistical process and other control procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have 3-5 years of Prior Shipyard Experience as a Shipfitter.
