Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder/Fabricator - Production to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in various welding techniques, and experience working within a fabrication environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex projects that require precision, safety adherence, and craftsmanship. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce components. Perform welding operations using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques following AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials and finished products using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and other precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy. Fabricate sheet metal structures, ductwork, and metal assemblies utilizing hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Assemble fabricated parts with attention to detail, ensuring proper fit and alignment according to specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper handling of metal materials and welding equipment. Utilize shop math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control during fabrication processes. Operate cranes and other lifting devices safely when handling heavy or large components. Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining cleanliness of work areas and inspecting completed work for quality assurance. Experience Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within a manufacturing or construction environment. Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork, or mechanical assembly is highly desirable. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
