Overview Join our dynamic team as a Metal Fabricator and play a vital role in transforming raw metal materials into precisely crafted components and structures. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of fabrication techniques, interpret detailed blueprints, and utilize advanced cutting tools. Responsibilities Read and interpret fabrication shop tickets & drawings to determine project specifications. Measure, mark, cut, and shape sheet metal and other metal materials using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations. Operate power tools, band saws, and grinding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal components. Follow strict safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards and ASME codes & standards during all fabrication processes. Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish while adhering to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspect finished products for quality assurance, and troubleshoot fabrication issues promptly. Skills Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as tape measures for accurate measurements. Hands-on experience with metal fabrication tools including cutting, grinding, and assembly. Mechanical knowledge related to fabricating structural components using power tools and hand tools safely. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping projects is a plus. Strong shop math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout work essential for precision fabrication. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
