As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for shaping, welding, and assembling metal components to construct a wide range of products. Interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence of operations and setup requirements. Experience with fencing and miscellaneous metals product offering. Reads and comprehends shop drawings. Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets, plates, tubes, or structural shapes. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses. Design and construct templates and fixtures or modify existing templates and fixtures to achieve desired results. Cut, bend, roll, press, or otherwise form and assemble metal components to fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery. Weld, bolt, rivet, or otherwise join metal parts together to create final products or sub-assemblies. Perform finishing operations such as grinding, polishing, and painting to improve the appearance and protect the surface of the fabricated parts. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injuries and accidents. High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Proficient with metal fabrication tools Skilled in various fabrication techniques such as welding, cutting, bending, and shaping A valid driver's license is required for this role.
