Job Description

Step into a dynamic, student-focused setting as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting a 1:1 caseload throughout the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, providing direct communication access and fostering inclusive learning for a student in need.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Maryland Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) license required Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting preferred Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to work collaboratively with educators, related service providers, and families Professionalism, adaptability, and dedication to student-centered support
Position Details:
Contract duration: August 10th, 2026 through June 17th, 2027 Full-time schedule following the school calendar Serve as a dedicated 1:1 interpreter supporting student comprehension, expression, and participation in all classroom and school activities Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers to promote academic and social growth Participate in team meetings and collaborate on strategies to ensure the students educational goals are met Maintain accurate records and support compliance with all applicable confidentiality and ethical standards Enjoy the benefits of working within an engaging educational community while utilizing your specialized interpreting skills.
