An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Assess student progress regularly and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Catholic Faith Formation Integrate Catholic teachings and Gospel values into daily lessons and classroom life. Lead students in daily prayer, participate in school liturgies, and provide meaningful religious instruction. Foster a Christ-centered classroom that promotes spiritual growth, moral development, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Classroom Management & Student Development Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment. Support students' social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs. Collaboration & Professional Growth Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and specialists. Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and parent-teacher conferences. Commit to ongoing professional growth in both education and Catholic formation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (preferred). Valid teaching certification (preferred). Experience teaching at the elementary level is preferred. Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching young children and a sincere desire to serve in a Catholic school setting. Practicing Catholic in good standing with a strong commitment to Catholic education and the teachings of the Church. (preferred)
