Nurse Practitioner - Neurology St. Mary's Neurology and Spine Center St. Mary's Neurology and Spine Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in Internal Medicine who is interested in expanding their clinical expertise into the field of Neurology . Prior neurology experience is not required. The selected candidate will receive training in the evaluation and management of neurological conditions while working alongside an experienced neurology team. Position Overview The Nurse Practitioner will provide outpatient care to adult patients with a variety of neurological conditions. We are looking for a provider who has developed strong clinical judgment through internal medicine experience and is comfortable evaluating complex patients, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff. As you become comfortable within the practice, you will receive training and mentorship to develop your knowledge and skills in neurological medicine. Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients in an outpatient clinical setting Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical and neurological examinations Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing, imaging, and diagnostic studies Prescribe medications and monitor treatment response Provide follow-up care for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and lifestyle recommendations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals Develop increasing independence in managing neurological patients as training progresses Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner license Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or a closely related adult medicine setting Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong interest in learning Neurology and developing long-term expertise in the specialty Neurology experience is welcomed but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
