Job Summary:

$20 - 25.00/hour based on experience 1st

Shift:

6:00 AM-2:30 PM, Monday-Friday Overtime on Saturdays as necessary

Experience Needed:

3+ years of structural steel fitting or related experience required. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders. Proficient in measuring, laying out, fitting, and assembling structural steel components. Ability to accurately measure, mark, cut, position, and align steel materials according to specifications. Receive work orders; obtain and organize materials; verify that all materials are accurate and comply with job specifications and quality requirements. Determine the proper sequence of operations and plan job tasks accordingly. Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, levels, and other layout equipment. Properly position and secure steel components for welding and fabrication. Safely operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, fit, and quality standards are met. Wear properly fitted PPE, including but not limited to gloves, face shields, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and other required safety equipment. Work in an efficient, safe, and productive manner. Maintain, support, and follow all standards as specified in the Quality Management System. Provide support to other employees on essential job functions when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and shop floor. May be trained on various machines and equipment as needed. Must be able and willing to learn new processes and procedures. Engage in other related duties and responsibilities as directed by management. Must have reliable transportation. Must demonstrate and maintain a courteous and professional attitude. Why Peoplelink?
