Job Description
Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as a MIG Welder on our 1st Shift. You'll manufacture MIG-welded assemblies to engineering standards while meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations. Why You'll Love This Role Four-day workweek: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Overtime opportunities available Free access to our on-site fitness center Eligibility for our Production Bonus Plan Total Rewards & Pay- Full-time team members are eligible for: Base pay: $22.00-$26.50 per hour , based on qualifications and experience Production Bonus Plan eligibility based on performance metrics 401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match Medical, dental, vision, HSA, and reimbursement accounts Paid time off, including paid holidays Life, AD&D, and disability coverage Employee discounts, EAP with free counseling sessions, identity protection, and legal services On-site fitness center access included What You'll Do Work effectively independently and as part of a team Perform welding, grinding, and repair of welded assemblies on raw steel Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and parameters for each job Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, specifications, and work instructions Produce quality weldments while meeting required production rates Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity Enter completed work orders into the production tracking system Communicate safety, production, or quality issues to your supervisor Safely operate hoists and material-handling equipment to position parts Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 0-2 years of production welding experience Knowledge of MIG welding equipment setup and operation Experience using oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, sanders, and hand tools Successful completion of a GMAW weld test Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and manufacturing specifications Technical school weld certificate Physical Requirements & Work Environment Lift up to 35 lbs Operate high-RPM air-powered metal finishing tools Reaching and repetitive motion Exposure to dust, vibration, welding fumes, and infrared/ultraviolet light Noisy environment Required PPE includes safety glasses, welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, ear protection, and protective clothing At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. Your base wage will be between $22.00 - $26.50 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You'll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
