Cedar Valley Services, Inc. is looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and experienced truck driver to drive a straight truck locally. This is a part-time position. The truck driver is responsible for the handling of all merchandise picked up or delivered with the agency truck. Will perform scheduled inspections to insure safe and lawful operation of the truck. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist production coordinator and production manager in developing and maintaining a regular schedule of deliveries and pickups. Before shipping or receiving merchandise, will verify accuracy of shipping manifests and packing lists. Will load and unload merchandise in a manner that keeps damage to boxes, product and materials to a minimum. Facilitate efficient material handling and storage operations. Performs scheduled inspections to meet agency requirements. Maintain good working relationships with shipping and receiving departments of agency customers. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide physical intervention and physical care for persons who have mobility limitations and/or aggressive behaviors. Acceptable driving record and valid drivers license. Must have or be able to acquire class C driver's license.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum one year driving experience of two ton or larger truck and handling or delivery of materials.
