Key Responsibilities Inspect, repair, and replace damaged structural components, including floor joists, main beams, band joists, sill plates, and subflooring damaged by rot, moisture, or wood-destroying organisms. Install structural support systems, such as adjustable steel piers, floor jacks, and sistering joists to level sagging floors and stabilize foundations. Execute minor masonry, concrete, and framing adjustments necessary for structural reinforcement. Install crawl space vapor barriers, heavy-duty encapsulation membranes (e.g., 12-20 mil liners), wall insulation, and tape seams to complete clean, sealed systems. Install and maintain water management equipment, including sump pumps, interior drainage channels, French drains, gravity drains, and condensation lines. Mount and calibrate commercial-grade dehumidifiers, humidistats, and digital monitoring systems. Perform surface cleaning, mold remediation, and wood treatment applications in compliance with safety standards and protocols. Set up containment zones, air scrubbers, and negative air machines to prevent cross-contamination during active remediation. Safely handle, apply, and document anti-microbial treatments, sealants, and fungicides. Operate diagnostic tools including moisture meters, thermal imaging cameras, hygrometers, and laser levels to identify leak sources and structural movement. Safely operate power tools, jacks, saws, blowers, and specialized remediation gear in confined spaces (crawl spaces, basements, and attics). Requirements Prior construction experience is preferred Proficient with hand and power tools (saws, impact drivers, hydraulic jacks, moisture meters). Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record is required Ability to lift and carry heavy materials without restriction Capability to kneel, crawl, and work in confined crawlspaces for extended periods (8-10 hours per day) Willingness to acquire job-specific knowledge and skills through on-the-job training Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner Adherence to all mandatory safety rules, regulations, and company policies. Compliance with established dress code requirements. Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet project demands.
