Metal Worker/Installer Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to fabricate, build, and install metal components based on project specifications. This role requires proficiency in various metalworking techniques, including welding, pipe threading, and operating machinery such as press brake machines. Additionally, the role involves installing metal structures such as awnings, window frames, sheet metal flooring, and seating. The Metal Worker/Installer will ensure adherence to industry codes and standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication & Assembly:

Build and fabricate metal components based on blueprints and project specifications.

Welding:

Perform MIG welding and related tasks to assemble and join metal structures and components.

Measurement & Cutting:

Utilize calipers, tools, and basic math to measure, cut, and shape materials with precision.

Installation:

Install various metal structures, including awnings, window frames, sheet metal flooring, and seating systems.

Equipment Operation:

Operate metalworking machinery such as press brake machines and pipe threaders.

Safety & Maintenance:

Follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure a clean work area.

Collaboration:

Work effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and ensure quality craftsmanship.

Industry Standards:

Ensure all work adheres to industry codes and standards throughout the fabrication and installation process.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Proven experience in metalworking, fabrication, and installation is preferred.

Welding Expertise:

Proficiency in MIG welding and the use of welding equipment is required.

Tools:

Own tools, including drills, wrenches, sockets, and other essential equipment, are required for this position.

Mechanical Knowledge:

Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical knowledge to resolve equipment issues as needed.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Basic Math Skills:

Proficiency in basic math for measurements and material calculations.

Detail-Oriented:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Teamwork & Independence:

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
