Description:

•Fabricator - Lincoln, NE

•The Fabricator operates a variety of machines in a metal fabrication shop, performs general labor and mechanical assembly tasks, and uses hand and power tools to produce high-quality fabricated components according to blueprints and measurements. Responsibilities Operate different machines and equipment within a metal fabrication setting to produce parts and assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications, dimensions, and assembly requirements. Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure components meet required tolerances. Perform general labor tasks, including material handling, shop organization, and basic housekeeping duties. Carry out mechanical assembly work using hand tools and power tools to build and assemble products. Inspect completed parts and assemblies for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Work independently in the assembly department while coordinating with the broader shop team when needed. Follow safety procedures and best practices when operating fabrication equipment and tools. Maintain a clean and orderly work area within the fabrication shop. Contribute to efficient production workflow by meeting daily output and quality expectations. Essential Skills Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure. Ability to read and interpret blueprints in a fabrication or production environment. Experience performing general labor and mechanical assembly tasks. Proficiency using hand tools for assembly and fabrication work. Proficiency using power tools in a production or fabrication setting, with at least 6+ months of experience. At least 6+ months of experience working in a production environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with metal fabrication processes.
