This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure safe, precise, and efficient metal fabrication and erection. As an integral part of our crew, you'll contribute to building strong, lasting structures while adhering to strict safety standards and industry best practices. Duties Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Operate forklifts and power tools safely to lift, position, and secure steel components on construction sites. Perform welding tasks (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints for precise structural steel frameworks, and other metal structures. Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to maintain a safe work environment. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements. Hands-on experience operating forklifts and power tools safely in a construction setting. Skilled in various welding techniques including metal arc welding; knowledge of AWS standards is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to structural steel assembly. Familiarity with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards for fabrication and welding practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings for mechanical fabrication tasks accurately. Strong adherence to safety protocols with a focus on maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
