Job Description
Located in downtown Buffalo, Perma Tech Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Company's quickly growing and changing production operation. Since being founded in 1984, Perma Tech, Inc. has established a reputation for designing and building custom, high quality loading dock solutions through the success of adopting the principles of lean manufacturing and workforce development. This, along with our R D and other efforts, allows us to provide our customers with uniquely customized products, at unheard lead times, at a time when many competitors are attempting to limit themselves to more standardized products and procedures. We are seeking to add to our production staff by adding a steel/metal worker. In this role you will perform basic steel fabrication tasks like: Cutting and bending steel components for use in our finished products. This includes setting up and operating a press brake, iron worker, shears, etc. for bending and cutting metal to required dimensions and angles. This position is full time, Monday-Friday, 1st shift (8am-4:30pm). Qualified candidates will have the following: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). 1 year experience in metal fabrication of some sort. Basic welding experience strongly preferred Basic ability to read and understand shop drawing and written instructions Ability to measure and mark components, communicate well, pay attention to detail, perform reliably, and function on a team.
