Metal Fabricator- Sheet Metal Leading 98-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a
Metal Fabricator Job Duties:
- Operate fabrication equipment (Power brakes, Shears, Rollers)
- Mark Cutting and bending lines
- Fabricate and assemble parts - general sheet metal and metal plate parts
- Complete assigned jobs according to schedule
- Maintain work area cleanliness and safety
- Report errors or issues to
Foreman Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or experience in related field
- Minimum 5 years metal fabrication experience
- Experience reading and understanding mechanical drawings
- Experience with Shearing, Brake Forming, Punching, Rolling, Riveting, Seaming
- Ability to read measuring tools including tape measures and gauges
- Ability to identify materials types
- Use of appropriate PPE (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Clothing As Directed)
- Good basic math skills
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds
- Able to work
