Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stainless Steel TIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. Duties Execute TIG welding on stainless steel materials, especially thin sheet metal with precision, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet project specifications USDA standards Read and interpret technical drawings to determine welding requirements and sequence Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication processes Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting with plasma cutters or power tools, and setting up workpieces for welding operations Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, properly handling gas metal arc welding (GMAW) equipment Operate hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and plasma cutters efficiently for fabrication and assembly tasks Collaborate with team members on mechanical fabrication projects involving sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and metal materials handling Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments or metal fabrication shops with a focus on stainless steel TIG welding Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation Proficiency in various welding techniques including TIG welding, MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding, SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), FCAW, and gas metal arc welding Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other shop math tools for precise fabrication Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, machining processes, and assembly procedures Ability to use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively Understanding of safety protocols specific to welding environments and construction sites Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality welds consistently Prior experience interpreting technical drawings and working within AWS standards is highly preferred

Pay:

$25.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
