Friday Description of Role:
The Controls Technician is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to the production floor and responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical/motor controls and PLC Logic to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance. What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent education 3+ years' experience in electrical systems, controls and/or automation. Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and motor control systems Able to accurately read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagramsPhysical Requirements:
Occasionally lift/carry (10-50 lbs) and push/pull (50-300 lbs) Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping. If requested, able to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces. Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree, Bachelors degree or relevant certifications in a technical field Prior experience in a manufacturing environment Expert in electrical and controls systems What will be myKey Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, calibration, modifications and upgrades on electrical and controls equipment including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and motor control systems Support the installation and setup of new control systems and automation equipment Identify and resolve minor faults in control systems and recommend continuous improvements Maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for control system maintenance Follow all safety procedures and protocols when servicing control systems and electrical equipment Any ad hoc requestsTotal Rewards Pay:
