Overview We are seeking for immediate hiring an experienced Welder, proficient in Stainless Steel. Tig experience is a must. Quality is key. Tig and Mig welding. Must be able to read and interpret a blueprint. Lift truck certification is a plus. A 4 day work week is available. Weekly pay, uniforms provided. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately fabricate stainless steel components and assemblies. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to ensure precise dimensions and fit-up of metal parts. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials. Follow strict safety protocols during all fabrication activities, including proper handling of gas cylinders, power tools, and welding equipment. Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with team members on site or in the fabrication shop to assemble components accurately and efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints confidently. Familiarity with shop math, basic math skills, and the use of measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations, machining, plasma cutting, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication. Experience working with stainless steel or other metal materials in a fabrication environment is highly preferred. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance is desirable but not mandatory; training opportunities are available for growth.
