Job Description

Structural Fitter - Structural Steel & Weldments We are currently hiring an experienced Structural Fitter for a 1st shift position. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of verifiable experience fitting structural steel and large weldments and must be able to read blueprints fluently and pass a fitting test. 3-5+ years of relevant Structural Fitter experience is a minimum requirement. Must be able to MIG spray transfer weld. Candidates without this level of experience will not be considered. Structural Fitter - Responsibilities Read and interpret a variety of blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and fabrication prints. Understand and accurately interpret all standard weld symbols. Fit and fabricate structural steel and large weldments according to blueprint specifications. Read and work from both standard and metric prints. Cope, cut, fit, and fabricate beams, columns, and other structural components. Perform tack welding to properly position and secure components. Work from operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Maintain accurate dimensions and proper alignment throughout the fitting process. Successfully complete a structural fitting test. Structural Fitter - Requirements 3-5+ years of verifiable structural fitting experience required. Strong experience fitting structural steel and large weldments. Fluent blueprint and shop drawing reading skills. Strong understanding of weld symbols and fabrication terminology. Experience working with both standard and metric prints. Ability to pass a hands-on fitting test. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required. Welding certifications are a plus but not required. Structural Fitter - Schedule 1st Shift
