Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Shop Technician - TIG Welder / Chain Fabrication for a long-term opportunity in Aston, PA . This position is primarily focused on chain and wire rope assembly and fabrication , with TIG welding as an important part of the role.

PAY & SCHEDULE

Pay:

$28-$34/hour based on years of experience

Hours:

7:00 AM-3:30

PM Schedule:

Monday-Friday some OT on Saturday as needed

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble and fabricate chain slings according to customer specifications TIG weld chain components and assemblies Perform heat treatment of chain Inspect, repair, and maintain chain assemblies Fabricate wire rope slings according to customer requirements Operate shop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently Use chain nippers, grinders, chop saws, and cutting torches Read and follow customer specifications and work instructions Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment

QUALIFICATIONS TIG

welding experience required Experience with chain or wire rope fabrication preferred Mechanical assembly or fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and follow customer specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to safely operate shop equipment and hand tools Commitment to quality and safety

REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to TIG weld Must be able to safely operate a cutting torch Must be able to use chain nippers, grinders, and chop saws Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Reliable transportation required Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
