Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide evaluation, consultation, and therapeutic services to students in a school-based setting. The Occupational Therapist will assess student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, deliver direct therapy services, monitor progress, and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation, independence, and educational success. This role also requires accurate documentation, compliance with special education regulations, and supervision of support staff as appropriate. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluations & Assessments Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students. Assess fine motor, sensory processing, visual motor, self-care, and functional performance skills. Interpret evaluation results and recommend services, accommodations, and interventions. Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and IEP meetings. Therapy Services Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs. Provide direct occupational therapy services to support educational performance and functional independence. Utilize evidence-based interventions to address identified goals. Support development of fine motor, sensory regulation, visual motor, ADL, and classroom access skills. Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Collaboration Partner with teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers regarding student progress. Participate in IEP meetings, family conferences, and educational planning sessions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated services. Consult with healthcare providers as appropriate. Documentation & Compliance Maintain timely and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress reports, and service logs. Complete required billing and service documentation. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, state regulations, district policies, and professional standards. Leadership & Supervision Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Rehabilitation Aides in accordance with state regulations. Provide clinical guidance and support to therapy staff. Ensure therapy services are delivered in compliance with applicable standards. Required Qualifications Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program. Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure. Current NBCOT certification. Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of occupational therapy experience. Previous school-based occupational therapy experience. Experience working with pediatric and special education populations. Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and special education regulations. Experience developing IEP goals and participating in educational teams. Familiarity with sensory integration, assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and classroom accommodations. Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout school buildings and classrooms. Ability to lift, position, and assist students when necessary. Ability to safely demonstrate therapeutic activities and operate occupational therapy equipment. Licensure & Certification Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist License (or eligibility for licensure).
