Job Description
The TIG Welder / Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, modifying, repairing, and installing precision metal components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong TIG welding and fabrication skills, the ability to interpret blueprints and perform layout work, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while working safely and independently. Key Responsibilities Fabricate precision parts and assemblies from blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Perform TIG welding, fabrication, and repair of machinery and equipment. Repair manufacturing equipment as needed to support plant operations. Install fabricated components and assemblies throughout the facility. Perform sheet metal layout, bend allowance calculations, and operate brake and shear equipment. Set up and operate cutting, forming, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints to complete fabrication projects accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Support departmental KPI goals through quality workmanship and productivity. Demonstrate company core values in daily work and interactions. Perform additional fabrication and welding duties as assigned. Core Skills / Competencies Strong TIG welding skills. Proficiency with stick welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Experience performing layout work for fabrication projects. Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, including bend allowances. Ability to operate cutting, forming, braking, shearing, and welding equipment. Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Team-oriented with excellent work ethic. Preferred Experience / Requirements 1-2 years of TIG welding experience required. Experience in industrial fabrication and equipment repair. Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to safely set up and operate fabrication equipment. Ability to lift, move, and handle fabrication materials as required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Plant Safety Follows all company safety rules, policies, and procedures. Performs all work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
