Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet the customer's special requirements.
A Day In The Life Primary:
Manufacture upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems: assemble components used to make sub-assemblies; install panels upper level sub-assemblies; assemble access panels; perform detailed wiring.
Secondary:
Fabricate and/or modify products: page/party stations; printed circuit boards; cable assemblies; wiring harnesses; wire wrap boards; relay panels; cabinet sub-assemblies; cabinet assembly. Correct problems arising during fabrication and/or final testing of equipment. Lay out and fabricate custom metal work. Provide support/training to Technicians I, as needed. Review all documentation for potential errors and omissions. Other duties as assigned What will help you thrive in this role? High school diploma or equivalent. Five plus years of assembly experience and ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings, wire lists and wiring diagrams. GAI-Tronics product knowledge helpful. Ability to lift 35 lbs. ; Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
