This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex metal fabrication projects that require precision welding and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining pressure vessels and related components in accordance with ASME codes. Your expertise will ensure the integrity, safety, and durability of critical metal structures used across various industries. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to accurately fabricate ASME code vessels. Perform welding operations using various techniques including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW or MIG), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and TIG welding, ensuring compliance with AWS standards. Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials for vessel construction. Interpret technical drawings for pipe threading, assembly, and fabrication of pressure vessels while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Conduct quality checks using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure welds meet ASME code requirements. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while following all safety procedures related to construction site work, metal fabrication, and welding operations. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on metal fabrication or vessel construction. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and interpreting technical drawings specific to ASME code vessels. Skilled in multiple welding techniques including

SMAW, GMAW

(MIG), FCAW, TIG welding, with certifications aligned with AWS standards preferred. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and the use of hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Ability to read shop math accurately for measurements and fabrication calculations. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, machining processes, and assembly of mechanical components. Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials used in pressure vessel fabrication including steel alloys and other metals. Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings accurately. Prior experience in a fabrication shop environment or working on mechanical fabrication projects is highly desirable.
