Rebar Rodbuster Helpers Apprentice (trade level varies)

Pay Rate :

$21.45

• $29.

70 (based on experience)

Incentive Rate:

$10.00 (will be combined with base rate) Per Diem (if eligible): $178.00 per day worked

Work Schedule:

5x10's (subject to change)

Strong working knowledge of and experience working with rotating equipment. Perform quality work within a set schedule as determined by the project specifications. Accountable for all assigned tools and materials at all times. Assist immediate supervisor with future tasks to be completed. Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Determine the number, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions. Selects type and size of reinforcing iron, rebar, and related materials according to the job specifications. Selects and places rods in forms, spacing and fastening them together using wire and pliers. Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers. Cuts reinforcing iron and rebar to required lengths using hacksaw, bar cutters, or cutting torch according to site specific and industry standards. May reinforce concrete with wire mess. May weld reinforcing bars together using arc-welding equipment. Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, or marking gauge. Ensure proper permits have been obtained and can read & understand all permits. Prioritize tasks according to job schedule and work sequence. Assist in concrete placement, industry carpentry, and site layout as the need arises.
