Welder Helper Location:

Job Summary The Welder Helper assists welders with the preparation, assembly, and fabrication of metal components. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and organized work area, preparing materials and tools, and supporting welding operations to ensure quality and productivity. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn skilled trade techniques. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist welders with fitting, positioning, and securing metal parts for welding.
  • Gather and prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for daily production.
  • Clean, grind, and deburr metal surfaces before and after welding.
  • Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws.
  • Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment (if certified).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components.
  • Inspect materials for defects and notify supervisors of any issues.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Perform other shop or production duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to learn welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 3:00 or until finish
