Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and Aluminum welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various metal materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that meets industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful fabrication and assembly of metal structures, components, and custom projects, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety on construction sites and within fabrication shops. Duties Perform MIG welding on diverse metal materials, including aluminum, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to guide fabrication processes. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to ensure precise measurements and fit-up of components. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication tasks. Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and welding symbols to execute projects correctly. Maintain adherence to AWS (American Welding Society) standards and safety protocols throughout all welding activities. Assemble fabricated parts using appropriate techniques, ensuring quality control at each stage of production. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of safety protocols and site-specific requirements. Proficiency in MIG welding techniques with a focus on aluminum materials; experience with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus. Knowledge of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), TIG welding, and gas metal arc welding processes for diverse applications. Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical fabrication instructions accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly processes. Experience working with construction equipment like cranes or handling heavy materials on-site is advantageous. Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding operations, including proper use of power tools and hand tools. Ability to work efficiently in a fabrication shop environment or on construction sites while maintaining high-quality standards.
