ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform advanced welding and fitting techniques to assemble structural frameworks using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, combination squares, and rulers to align and secure components before assembly. Cut, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes according to blueprint specifications. Tack weld and fit multiple components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment. Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment for safe and efficient workflow. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. Follow company safety protocols and quality control procedures to ensure compliance.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to fit and fabricate metal frameworks per detailed work orders and layouts. Proficiency in measuring and checking grooves, angles, and gap allowances using precision measuring tools. Experience with burning, measuring, and tack welding to properly assemble components. Strong understanding of safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping practices. Capability to operate cranes and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Minimum of two years of structural fitting experience, or the ability to pass skills assessment tests. Strong verbal communication skills for effective workplace collaboration. Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in a fabrication environment.Job Type:
