We are seeking a skilled, safety-focused professional to join our team in a hands-on role supporting structural steel fabrication, fitting, and erection projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced construction or industrial environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to complete assigned work accurately. Measure, cut, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components according to project requirements. Perform welding and fabrication tasks using appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques. Assist with the erection, placement, and secure installation of structural steel members on site. Use rigging, lifting, and handling equipment safely and effectively during material movement and installation. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and project specifications. Collaborate with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to support efficient workflow and job completion. Follow all site safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean work area. Identify and report equipment issues, material concerns, or jobsite hazards in a timely manner. Decking knowledge Qualifications Proven experience in welding, fitting, decking, and structural steel erection. Ability to read and work from structural drawings, weld symbols, and measuring tools. Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and installation methods. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment in a professional setting. Familiarity with safe rigging and lifting practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to travel Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality. Physical ability to perform demanding work in indoor and outdoor environments. Preferred Qualifications Relevant welding certifications or trade credentials. Experience working on commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, travel required.
