Badger State Staffing is seeking a mechanically inclined Fabrication Assistant for a full-time position based in Appleton. In this role, you will help ensure that stainless steel pipes and structural components are prepped, cut, and finished for the welding team. Primary Duties:

Measure, cut, and prep stainless steel pipe structures Operate a T-Drill machine to create precise, high-quality collars and outlets in stainless steel piping, ensuring seamless fit-ups for the welding team Operate a pipe polisher and hand tools to deburr, clean, and finish materials to meet strict aesthetic and structural specifications Safely load, unload, and stage raw materials and completed components throughout the shop Operate a forklift to move heavy pipe structures (training provided) Inspect prepped materials using tape measures and gauges to guarantee tight tolerances before handing them off to welders Maintain a clean, organized workstation Adhere to all PPE requirements and perform basic preventative maintenance to assigned machinery

Schedule:

Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime will be offered on a voluntary basis based on production needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous experience in a metal fabrication shop or manufacturing facility is highly desired Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch and perform basic fractional math Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, and work in a dynamic manufacturing environment Willingness to learn specialized equipment operation and achieve in-house forklift certification

Pay:

From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
