[Leapros] Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Steel Erector in Reedsville, WI. This role involves the assembly and installation of structural steel frameworks for construction projects in Reedsville, WI. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with hands-on experience in structural steel connection, rigging, and working at heights within a safe and efficient manner.

Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:

Assemble and install structural steel frames, including beams, columns, and girders. Read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings to determine layout and assembly sequences. Hoist steel components into place using cranes and rigging equipment while providing clear signals to operators. Connect steel members using bolts, rivets, or welding techniques to ensure structural integrity. Align, level, and plumb structural steel members using transit levels, laser levels, and plumb bobs. Install metal decking, stairs, handrails, and other miscellaneous steel components as specified. Utilize various tools including impact wrenches, torque wrenches, drift pins, and cutting torches. Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines for fall protection and steel erection.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in structural steel erection or ironworking. Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural steel blueprints and shop drawings. Working knowledge of rigging standards and crane signaling procedures. Experience with field bolting, torqueing, and basic welding processes. Ability to operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and reach forklifts. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols specifically related to steel structures.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work comfortably at significant heights while wearing fall protection harnesses. Capability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds frequently. Agility to climb, balance, stoop, and kneel on steel structures for extended periods. Endurance to work in outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $42 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
