Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel frameworks and metal building components. Erect metal buildings by installing steel columns, beams, panels, and framing using hand tools and power tools with precision. Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of erection tasks while adhering to safety standards. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts for lifting and positioning large steel components safely. Perform rebar installation, concrete forming, and finishing tasks as needed for integrated structural projects. Conduct quality checks on erected structures to ensure alignment, dimensional measurements, and structural integrity meet specifications. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by managing materials, tools, and debris efficiently throughout each phase of construction. Qualifications Proven experience in metal building erection, framing, or related construction roles with a strong understanding of construction plans and schematics. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accurate assembly of structures. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and heavy equipment operation essential for safe construction practices. Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming, drywall installation, roofing, siding, stucco application, masonry work, and plastering is highly desirable. Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices; basic math skills are required. Demonstrated physical strength with the ability to lift heavy materials regularly while maintaining safety protocols. Construction site experience with familiarity in working at heights and adhering to safety standards is essential. Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions from blueprints or technical drawings. Certifications in welding or heavy equipment operation are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is encouraged.
