Full-Time Position Overview High Country Industrial is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Welder to support our structural fabrication and structural erection operations. This role is hands-on and field-based, requiring strong welding ability, adaptability in dynamic environments, and a commitment to quality and safety. While rig experience is a plus, high-level welding skill is the top priority. Pay & Benefits- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.00 - $32.00+ depending on experience and certifications

- Perform structural welding tasks
- Work independently or in small crews on construction jobsites
- Ensure all welds meet quality and code standards (e.g., visual, bend, x-ray depending on job)
- Read and interpret prints, isometric drawings, and job instructions
- Accurately perform and communicate field measurements Worksite Readiness & Safety
- Prep materials, tools, and equipment for each job
- Follow safety and job-specific protocols in sometimes hazardous environments
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites and vehicles Team Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with rig supervisors, project managers, and other trades
- Support HCI's commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism What You Can Expect from HCI We are dedicated to delivering high-quality welding and fabrication services to construction clients across the region.
- 1+ year of welding experience (field or shop), with ability to pass a weld test
- Prior work on construction sites is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with SMAW, FCAW, and MIG processes
- Able to work in outdoor environments, in heat, cold, and physically demanding conditions
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Required Skills
- Proficient welding and fabrication ability (test required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass routine drug testing
