Job Title:
Pump Technician Job Description We are hiring for a pump technician with 6+ months of mechanical or field tech experience. The role involves supporting a large landfill through routine and non-routine maintenance. The successful candidate will receive training on pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement, as well as monitoring and tuning the wellfield. Responsibilities also include extensive work with surface emissions monitoring (SEM), liquid levels, and probes, which requires significant walking across the landfills. Responsibilities Support a large landfill with routine and non-routine maintenance. Train on pump maintenance, including pulling, cleaning, servicing, and replacement. Monitor and tune the wellfield effectively. Conduct surface emissions monitoring (SEM) and manage liquid levels and probes. Perform data collection, environmental testing, and troubleshooting. Essential Skills Experience in working with any kind of monitoring or mechanical systems is a plus. Familiarity with environmental fieldwork and mechanical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications 40 HR HAZWOPER or 8 HR Refresher (required to attain through the company if not currently possessed). ISCO pipe fusion certification is a plus. Mechanical experience is beneficial. Work Environment The work environment includes a landfill with a GCCS methane system that leads to a gas-to-energy plant. The role requires a significant amount of on-foot work, navigating the landfill terrain. ) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Griffin, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
