Security Officer (Pinewood)

Description :

Security Officer - Pinewoods CSU - Griffin Ga. Able to work 12 hour rotation shifts. We have a Day shift and a Night Shift available. Guards, patrols, or monitors premises, facilities, and other areas to prevent theft, violence and infractions of rules. Secures and protects facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events. Candidate must have a high school diploma and two years' experience working in the security field. Experience working with the Mental Health and Substance Abuse population environment is required. Ability to handle crisis situations according to established guidelines, position requires flexibility, work consists of enforcing laws, ordinances, and policies for safety of individual/staff at site location. Patrol work area on foot and other duties as directed and performed. Must be aware of Therapeutic Boundaries, and demonstrate accountability, respectability, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must have a high school diploma and two years' experience working in the security field. Experience working with the Mental Health and Substance Abuse population environment is required. NOTE:

McIntosh Trail Community Service Board conducts background checks on all final candidates. Hiring of applicants is contingent upon satisfactory results of: Fingerprint Based Background Check of the Georgia and Federal Criminal History Record Database Drug Screen Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for seven years TB testing will be required upon appointment. If you have previously tested positive for TB, you will be required to bring a copy of your chest x-ray on your first day of orientation.
