Landscape Installation Crew Leader - Design-Build Florida Image Landscaping Inc. | West Palm Beach, FL 33406 $30-$34 per hour, based on relevant experience Full-time | Five days per week | 6:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. Can you read a landscape plan, organize an installation, and work alongside your crew to get it done right? We're hiring a hands-on crew leader who can turn a landscape design into a finished installation. You'll operate equipment, dig and plant, direct the crew, coordinate materials, and think ahead so the job keeps moving. This role requires landscape installation experience; mowing and routine maintenance experience alone is not enough.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Read landscape planting plans and turn them into plant layouts, material needs, and daily crew assignments. Assess site conditions, access, staging areas, and equipment needs before work begins.

Plan the installation sequence:

coordinate site preparation and irrigation, maintain access for large trees, and organize smaller plants, finish work, and mulch in the appropriate order.

Work physically alongside your crew:

digging holes, moving materials, preparing beds, grading, and installing trees, shrubs, and mulch. Safely operate a skid steer and other equipment appropriate to your training and experience. Call nurseries and suppliers to confirm plant availability, sizes, quantities, pricing, and pickup or delivery arrangements. Catch missing information, ask clear questions, and flag site conflicts or material shortages before they delay the crew. Suggest practical solutions and get approval before making plant substitutions or changing the design. Drive a company vehicle, transport the crew and materials, and organize tools and supplies for each day. Communicate progress and issues to management, use smartphone apps for time tracking, and keep job sites clean and organized.

WHAT YOU BRING

At least 5 years of hands-on landscape installation experience, including trees, shrubs, and bed preparation. Experience leading a crew or taking responsibility for completing an installation. Ability to read planting plans and lay out the work accurately. Practical knowledge of plant identification, planting depth, spacing, root-ball handling, watering, and mulch placement. Experience operating a skid steer. Ability to plan ahead, troubleshoot, and recognize when a decision needs approval. A valid driver's license and driving record that meets company vehicle insurance requirements. Ability to perform the physical duties of outdoor landscape installation, with or without reasonable accommodation. Dependability, punctuality, and clear communication. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

PAY & BENEFITS

$30-$34 per hour, based on relevant experience. Overtime paid at time and a half. One week paid vacation. Performance bonuses. Uniform shirts provided; pants not included. Work boots provided after one year.
