Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscape Designer / Sales Consultant to join our team. This role combines client-facing sales, design, and project coordination, and is ideal for someone who can confidently manage projects from initial consultation through execution. The position is primarily field-based, involving local travel to meet with clients, develop project plans, and ensure successful job starts with our installation crews. Role Purpose This position is intended to support continued growth by assisting with client consultations, estimating, and project coordination, while helping ensure a smooth transition from approved work to field execution. The role works closely with both clients and internal teams to maintain clear communication, accurate project scope, and well-organized job starts. Key Responsibilities Meet with prospective and existing clients to understand project goals Develop and present estimates and landscape designs for services including: Spring cleanups Planting and softscapes Hardscapes Drainage solutions Build accurate proposals using company CRM software Maintain clear and professional communication with clients throughout the process Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project scope is clearly defined Initiate job starts on-site, ensuring crews understand scope, layout, and expectations Identify and resolve potential issues before or during project execution Qualifications Prior experience in landscape design, estimating, or sales Strong understanding of landscaping practices (hardscape, drainage, planting, etc.) Ability to create or interpret basic landscape designs Strong communication and customer engagement skills Comfortable using or learning CRM / estimating software Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally Preferred (Not Required) Industry certifications (landscape design, horticulture, etc.) Experience with tree work or plant health care Experience managing or coordinating field crews Work Environment & Schedule Field-based role with local travel throughout service area Schedule driven by client appointments and project needs Typical start time: 7:00-8:00 AM Compensation & Benefits Base pay + commission-based earnings Performance-based income potential Benefits package including: Health insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Ideal Candidate Self-sufficient and able to manage responsibilities independently Works well within established systems and processes Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Professional in both appearance and communication Able to balance sales performance with operational accuracy Able to take ownership of projects from sale through execution, not just generate estimates Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages, from initial consultation through job kickoff What We Expect Clear and consistent communication with both clients and team members Accountability for estimates, designs, and project handoffs Ability to represent the company professionally at all times Join us in shaping inspiring outdoor environments that combine creativity with technical excellence!
Pay:
Up to $160,000.00 per year
