We're looking for a landscape designer who enjoys blending creativity with real‑world problem‑solving. You'll spend your days meeting clients, sketching ideas, walking properties, collaborating with our landscape and tree crews, and watching your designs come to life. This role is perfect for someone who wants variety: part artist, part planner, part plant nerd, part project guide. No two days look the same, and that's exactly the fun of it. What You'll Do Develop and design outdoor environments — landscapes, hardscapes, lighting, and everything in between Create drawings and renderings that help clients see their future space Visit properties for initial consults, mid‑project check‑ins, and final walk‑throughs Assess sites and solve real‑world challenges (grading, drainage, plant selection, layout) Help prepare estimates, proposals, and project budgets Meet clients on site — reliable transportation required (mileage reimbursed) Work closely with landscape and tree crews to bring your designs to life Manage multiple projects from first sketch to final install Handle yearly landscape maintenance contracts Support maintenance operations with your design expertise Split your time between fieldwork, design work, and project coordination What You Bring Proven experience as a Landscape Designer Strong knowledge of plants, materials, and construction techniques Familiarity with native/adaptable plants for our region Ability to create detailed landscape, hardscape, and lighting plans Experience with 3D modeling/design software (preferred) Comfortable using Microsoft Word & Excel Confident with client communication, sales, and on‑site consultations Strong organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Familiarity with Cecil County permitting (preferred) Valid driver's license + reliable transportation Solid arithmetic, measurement, geometry, and unit‑conversion skills Comfortable estimating materials, areas, slopes, and costs Why You'll Love Working with Us You get to design outdoor spaces that genuinely improve people's lives Work alongside a fun, collaborative team of landscape and tree professionals Enjoy a mix of design creativity, field exploration, and client interaction Grow your skills in both design and project management Attend industry conferences and continue your professional education Monthly car allowance and free fuel provided Every project is different — you'll never be bored
