Job Description
Landscape Designer / Sales Representative MSC Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer / Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is responsible for meeting with clients, developing landscape designs, preparing proposals, and selling residential and commercial landscape projects. We are looking for someone who understands both landscape design and the sales process and can confidently guide customers from the initial consultation through project approval. Responsibilities Meet with homeowners, builders, property managers, and commercial clients to discuss landscape needs and project goals. Create professional landscape designs, layouts, and planting plans. Develop concepts for planting, hardscapes, drainage, irrigation, lighting, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces. Measure job sites and gather accurate project information. Prepare estimates, proposals, and project presentations. Present designs and pricing to clients and confidently close sales. Follow up with leads, proposals, and existing customers. Coordinate with project managers and production teams after a project is sold. Maintain accurate customer, proposal, and sales records. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, builders, and referral partners. Visit active job sites as needed to ensure the project vision is communicated clearly. Qualifications Previous experience designing landscapes is required. Previous experience in landscaping sales is required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of plants, landscape construction, grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscapes, and outdoor living projects. Ability to measure job sites and prepare accurate project scopes. Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills. Proven ability to generate leads, follow up, negotiate, and close sales. Ability to manage multiple customers and projects at the same time. Professional appearance and dependable work habits. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience using landscape design software such as AutoCAD, DynaScape, PRO Landscape, SketchUp, or similar programs. Experience estimating landscape construction projects. Existing relationships with builders, developers, property managers, or homeowners. Degree or certification in landscape design, horticulture, or a related field. Knowledge of plant materials suitable for Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience.
