Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Residential Landscape Designer / Architect to step into an active book of business. In this hybrid design/sales role, you will meet with clients to interpret their goals, craft creative and buildable outdoor designs, and lead project proposals to secure sales. To support your creative focus, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated in-house CAD and 3D rendering department, allowing you to focus on client relationships, high-level concepts, and growth.

Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Sales:

Meet with homeowners to uncover their vision, preferences, and functional needs. Build client confidence and present compelling, tailored design proposals.

Site Analysis & Inventory:

Conduct thorough site assessments to measure existing structures, grades, elevations, and identify existing plant material and site conditions.

Conceptual & Detailed Design:

Prepare artistic base plans, preliminary concepts, and full planting and hardscape plans (patios, retaining walls, pools, water features, lighting, and pavilions).

Team Collaboration:

Partner with our dedicated in-house CAD and 3D rendering team to translate conceptual sketches into polished client presentations and technical construction sets.

Estimation & Regulations:

Prepare quantity takeoffs using LMN software, review budget options with clients, and ensure designs comply with local building codes and site regulations.

Industry Engagement:

Stay informed on emerging interior/exterior design trends, plant specifications, and sustainable landscaping practices. Qualifications & Skills Experience /

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field; OR 3+ years of professional residential landscape design experience.

Design Portfolio:

A strong portfolio showcasing previous residential landscape concepts, planting plans, or hardscape projects.

Technical & Software Proficiency:

Experience with landscape design software (CAD, 3D rendering tools, or LMN estimation software) or strong hand-sketching/conceptual drafting skills.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to clearly explain design solutions, collaborate with clients, and present project estimates confidently.

Knowledge Base:

Solid understanding of local horticulture, hardscape materials, and residential construction methods.

Licensing:

Valid driver's license (required for site visits and client meetings).
