Our client, a growing and highly collaborative architecture and design firm, is looking for a Landscape Architect to join their Raleigh team and help bring dynamic residential, mixed-use, and urban development projects to life. What You'll Do As a key member of the design team, you'll be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, helping transform ideas into successful built environments. Project & Design Leadership + Lead the preparation and coordination of landscape architecture drawings through all phases of project delivery. + Collaborate with architects, planners, and multidisciplinary design teams to develop creative and effective design solutions. + Participate in design charrettes, visioning sessions, public outreach initiatives, and collaborative workshops. + Create and deliver engaging design presentations for clients, review boards, and project stakeholders. Project Management & Client Engagement + Assist in developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. + Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and contractors on larger, more complex projects. + Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, interviews, and client presentations. + Travel periodically to support project and client needs. Technical & Construction Support + Research and select materials and products that align with project goals and design intent. + Prepare technical documentation and specifications. + Review shop drawings and construction-related documents. + Conduct site visits to monitor progress and help ensure successful implementation of design intent. Team Development + Provide guidance and support to project team members. + Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional growth. + Participate in recruiting and interviewing efforts as needed. What You'll Bring + Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture preferred. + 2+ years of experience in a professional design environment. + Strong design sensibility with excellent graphic presentation and visual communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. + Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and rendering/graphics software. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with Rhino and other modeling or parametric design tools. + Exposure to multifamily, mixed-use, urban, or community-oriented development projects. + A genuine interest in mentorship, collaboration, and continuous professional growth. Work Environment This role is based in the firm's new Raleigh office near Glenwood Avenue and Hillsborough Street. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
