In this role, you will lead the creation of inspiring outdoor spaces by combining artistic vision with technical expertise. Your passion for sustainable design, horticulture, and land development will drive projects from conceptual sketches to detailed construction documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape landscapes that enhance communities, promote environmental stewardship, and reflect cutting-edge design principles. Duties Develop comprehensive landscape designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhinoceros 3D, integrating client needs with sustainable practices. Create detailed sketches, hand-drawn illustrations, and high-quality renderings using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design concepts effectively. Conduct site analysis utilizing GIS tools like ArcView and ArcGIS to inform project planning and land surveying activities. Prepare construction documentation including grading plans, planting plans, hardscape details, irrigation systems, and civil engineering integrations such as Civil 3D. Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget. Oversee project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with landscape maintenance teams for post-construction care. Incorporate principles of sustainable design and environmental stewardship into all phases of project development while ensuring compliance with local regulations. Requirements Proven experience in landscape architecture or landscape design with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects involving landscaping, hardscape features, and site planning. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), 3D modeling software (Rhinoceros 3D), GIS tools (ArcView, ArcGIS), and graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop). Knowledge of horticulture practices, land surveying techniques, irrigation systems, civil engineering concepts, and construction documentation processes. Ability to produce hand-drawn sketches and renderings that clearly communicate design ideas to clients and team members. Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective client presentations and collaboration with contractors and consultants. A degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, or related field is preferred; additional certifications in sustainable design or land surveying are a plus.
