Heavy Equipment Operator - Gurdon Lumber at Koch/Georgia-Pacific in Gurdon, Arkansas, United States Job Description Your Job Georgia-Pacific is hiring for Heavy Equipment Operator for our lumber mill in Gurdon, Arkansas. This is a production position responsible for loading and unloading material, transporting and loading bark and debris onto trucks for disposal, and assisting in general yard maintenance and cleanup. A strong commitment to safety standards and knowledge of heavy equipment operations are critical for success in this role. This position ensures that production goals are met by moving material efficiently through departments and providing supplies for our operators. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to safety standards with forklift experience, this may be the role for you! This is a night shift position. Pay rate is $24.00 per hour plus night shift differential of $1.50 per hour. What You Will Do
  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other team members
  • Complete appropriate reporting at the end of each day
  • Work at elevated heights and in close cab quarters
  • Must be able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
  • Be willing to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • At least six (6) months experience operating a 988, 966, crane, log loader, dozer and/or grader equipment What Will Put You Ahead
  • At least one (1) year experience operating heavy equipment.
