PROCESSOR/FORWARDER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Processor/Forwarder Operator to grow with our company.JOB OVERVIEW
The log Processor/Forwarder Operator uses specialized heavy machinery, processor, to fell trees, delimb, and cut them to specific length and a forwarder to move felled trees from cutting sites and stack them for transport, requiring strong machine skills, adherence to safety/environmental rules, and basic maintenance to efficiently process timber in rough terrain while ensuring optimized yield.Minimum Qualifications:
0-3 years' experience operating heavy forest equipment (processors, forwarders, loaders, etc.) Strong spatial awareness and decision-making for complex operations. Understanding of forestry practices, timber measurements, and environmental guidelines. Demonstrated ability on safe equipment operation and service performance Knowledge of and the ability to identify tree species. Must be a US citizen Valid driver's licenseDuties and Responsibilities:
Operate specialized heavy forest equipment like processors, forwarders, & loaders. Felling of trees, delimb, cut to length (bucking), and sort them. Transport cut logs to jobsite landings and stack. Loading logs onto logging trucks as needed. Collaborate with the logging teams to optimize load management and transportation efficiency Monitor environmental conditions and adjust operations as necessary to minimize impact. Maintain accurate logs of operational activities and report any equipment issues. Perform multiple inspections throughout day on equipment to check and maintain proper fluid levels, performance of the equipment, etc. Report equipment needs and hazards to Supervisor Survey, evaluate and take measures to ensure work area is safe from any dangers (power lines, utilities, co-workers, etc.) Inspect all attachments to the machinery to ensure that they are operational and take the appropriate steps to correct Follow work order instructions from Supervisor Ensures that job site is left in safe condition Perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Abilities:
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions; communicate with supervisors, co-workers and the public effectively Able to comply with all company policies and procedures Ability to travel and work overtime when required Must have strong work ethic Able to push and pull with hands, arms, and feet repetitively Must have good visual and auditory physical capabilities to manage sights and sounds in a hazardous work environment Able to be alert and cognitive of multiple concurrent activities of the job site, including awareness of other employees, subcontractors, machinery, equipment, and moving traffic when applicable Ability to work around loud noises Coordination between hand, eyes, feet to guide equipment and objects Must be able to mount and dismount safely off vehicles and equipment Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment Must be able to walk on uneven terrain Able to lift 100 pounds Ability to perform work outside in all types of various weather (i.e. heat, cold, wind, sun and inclement weather, etc.) on a regular basis Additional Information Here are some of the benefits you receive when employed byA M Logging, LLC:
