Inexperienced Underground Coal Miner (Red Hat) - PA & WV Marianna, PA 2 DAYS AGO 22849908 Summary Marianna, PA In-Person $23.00 - $24.00 per Hour 0 Months Experience No formal schooling No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotation Shift / Full-Time Description Vesta Mine Services is seeking dependable, productive, and safety-focused inexperienced underground coal miners, commonly referred to as Red Hats, for full-time work at multiple mine locations, including: Bailey Crabapple Bailey Dry Ridge Enlow Fork Archer Enlow Fork Oak Springs Cumberland Bailey Aleppo Overall Job Purpose Assist with the safe and productive extraction of coal from below the earth's surface while learning and performing various underground coal mining duties.

Job assignments may include:

Belt moves Belt shoveling Dewatering Overcast construction Spraying Steel-set installation Track work Material handling General underground labor Wall Building Track Insulation Other duties assigned based on operational needs Essential Job Requirements Successful candidates must be able to: Report to scheduled shifts on time and communicate any absences to supervisors. Work 8- to 12-hour shifts. Work overtime, weekends, and six- or seven-day workweeks when required. Travel to different mine locations based on company and customer needs. Remain alert, focused, and safety-conscious in an underground mining environment. Follow all company, mine-site, state, federal, and MSHA safety requirements. Learn new tasks and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced miners. Work safely and effectively as part of a crew. Accept constructive feedback and apply it to job performance. Perform physically demanding work in an underground environment. Maintain reliable transportation to and from assigned mine locations. Comply with Vesta Mine Services' drug and alcohol policies. Additional Requirements Background checks and drug testing are required. Reliable transportation is required. This is an on-site position and cannot be performed remotely. Previous underground mining experience is not required.
