Quarry Reports to:Plant Manager Job Summary:
The primary functions of a mine laborer include assisting with production, performing general laborer tasks, maintaining plant housekeeping, and providing assistance in all areas of the plant as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does not have any direct reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform physical duties of the task assigned
- Follows all company safety and environmental policies and FRA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and SDDANR.
- Display good communication skills, including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
- Understand and complete pre-shift inspections on plant and heavy equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment as designed (Skid Steer, Haul Truck, Loaders)
- Perform maintenance on plant and mobile equipment as needed.
- Be able to safely use or operate hand and power tools.
- Responsible for housekeeping, including plant, equipment, and plant site.
- Ability to comprehend and complete all the necessary paperwork in an accurate manner.
- All other duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

- Keen attention to detail.
- Good work attendance is a must.
- Ability to work safely in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or
GED Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, squat, bend, walk for long durations.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
