Plant Manager Job Summary:
The primary functions of a mine laborer include assisting with production, performing general laborer tasks, maintaining plant housekeeping, and providing assistance in all areas of the plant as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does not have any direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical duties of the task assigned
  • Follows all company safety and environmental policies and FRA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and SDDANR.
  • Display good communication skills, including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
  • Understand and complete pre-shift inspections on plant and heavy equipment.
  • Ability and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment as designed (Skid Steer, Haul Truck, Loaders)
  • Perform maintenance on plant and mobile equipment as needed.
  • Be able to safely use or operate hand and power tools.
  • Responsible for housekeeping, including plant, equipment, and plant site.
  • Ability to comprehend and complete all the necessary paperwork in an accurate manner.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Good work attendance is a must.
  • Ability to work safely in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or
GED Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, walk for long durations.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
